Residential Construction Academy
The Residential Construction Academy (RCA) is a Home Builders Institute (HBI) initiative established in 2001 that aims to bridge the critical skills gap that exists within the residential construction industry. The Academy develops educational materials and programs that will help shape a workforce that is skilled, knowledgeable and able to meet the needs of NAHB members today and well into the future. A partnership with Delmar-Cengage Learning, a noted education publisher, the Series includes textbooks and instructional materials based importantly on critical skill standards identified by the nation’s home builders and leading educators. They are ideal for use by high schools, post-secondary educational institutions such as vocational and workforce development programs, community colleges, two- and four-year colleges and universities, professional associations and trade unions.
