What is the Schools to Skills Grant?
The Schools to Skills Grant makes it easy for schools to integrate our PACT curriculum, a nationally recognized pre-apprenticeship program that equips students with the skills they need for careers in construction trades. The grant covers:
- Curriculum materials
- Educator training
- Ongoing support for successful implementation
Why Choose HBI’s PACT Curriculum?
HBI’s PACT curriculum is one of only three national programs recognized and approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and many state departments of education. It is designed to:
- Provide 75% hands-on, competency-based learning
- Cover essential trades such as carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
- Align with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
- Offer industry-approved certifications to prepare students for career success
How is the Grant Funded?
Thanks to generous funding from The Home Depot Foundation and the National Housing Endowment, the Schools to Skills Grant is available annually to eligible secondary schools and school districts. This grant covers:
- All curriculum materials
- Educator training and certifications
- Ongoing support throughout the program
